Issued at 316 PM CDT Thu Jun 4 2026 Sfc high pressure continues to keep us pleasant even as it shift to the southeast this evening and overnight. Overnight lows will be in the 60s. Tomorrow will be another pleasant day before heat and precip chances start ramping up this weekend into next week. Saturday will be warmer in the upper 80s to lower 90s with increasing moisture as dew points reach into the mid to upper 60s. Rain chances come back on Sunday with the greatest chances (70-80%) over SEMO and reaching into southern IL and western KY. 50-60% chances then spread to area wide by Sunday overnight and ramp up further to around 70-80% by Monday morning through the afternoon. Daily chances then continue through mid to late week ranging from 40- 50% Tuesday morning to 20-30% chances Wednesday and dampening to 20% sporadic chances on Thursday. All told, Sunday through Thursday most of the area (with the exception of the Evansville Tri-State) could see 1.5-2.5" of rainfall with locally higher amounts possible.
