  Missouri River At Rulo affecting Holt and Richardson Counties.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

deaths occur in vehicles.



Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National

Weather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHERE...Missouri River at Rulo.



* WHEN...Until this evening.



* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Agricultural lowlands along the river begin

  to flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 16.8 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 17.0 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late

    this morning to a crest of 17.3 feet this afternoon. It will then

    fall below flood stage late this afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.3

    feet on 01/28/1977.

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is

  forecast.



* WHERE...Big Nemaha River at Falls City.



* WHEN...Until Saturday afternoon.



* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Primary roads have begun to flood. This may

  include portions of Highway 73 and Preston Road. Other primary

  roads in the area may be inundated depending on flows along Muddy

  Creek and the Missouri River.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 9:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 31.3 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 27.0 feet.

  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending

    at 9:45 AM CDT Friday was 31.6 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage this

    evening and continue falling to 6.6 feet Wednesday morning.

  - Flood stage is 27.0 feet.

  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 31.1

    feet on 07/11/1958.
