Onshore winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts of 25 to 40 mph will be common over the interior areas through at least the weekend, with isolated 30 mph gusts to 45 mph in the Antelope Valley foothills. The strongest winds will be today and Saturday, and slightly stronger than usual. Meanwhile, minimum humidities of 10 to 20 percent will be common over the interior, with pockets of 5 to 10 percent readings over the eastern San Gabriel mountains and Antelope Valley. This will lead to seasonable elevated conditions, with locally brief critical conditions over the driest and windiest portions of the eastern San Gabriels and Antelope Valley including adjacent foothills. On the coastal side of the ranges, a deep marine layer will persist with patchy light drizzle at times. Widespread gusty west to northwest winds are likely around Tuesday as a dry front passes the area. Warming and drying likely to follow Wednesday through the end of next week, with some generally weak offshore flow.
