The Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning for Saturday for portions of SW Arizona and areas surrounding the Lower Colorado River Valley. With very fuels, RHs only around 10%, and gusts potentially reaching upwards of 35 mph, near critical to critical fire weather conditions appear likely. Breezy conditions will not be limited to these areas as gusts 20-30 mph are expected for most of the forecast area, resulting in widespread elevated fire weather potential. Outside of Saturday, breezy conditions will be common, but not as strong, but even marginal gusts combined with continued low RH values will lead to an extended period of elevated conditions.
