Much drier conditions are over the region but this will slowly begin to change this morning as deep rich moisture starts to return today. By this afternoon moisture will have returned enough leading Min RH values remaining in the 60-80% range. The weak tropical wave will move towards the Louisiana coast today and as it continune to drift north and move inland those easterly winds we have been seeing will slowly become more esat-southeasterly and then southeasterly tonight. Winds will increase after sunrise with to 8-12 knots inland and 12 to 16 knots along the coast. We will see wind gusts of 12-15 knots inland and 18 to 25 knots along the coast. Despite the higher winds, RH values and wet fuels will keep critical fire weather conditions in check. There is the possibility of locally heavy rain Friday through Saturday as tropical moisture begins to push inland associated with a weak tropical wave over the central and northern Gulf. .TODAY... Any fog potential will be hihgly dependent on if/when rain occurs and how much. If little rain occurs then the risk of fog will be near zero. If rain occurs late afternoon and into the evening or there is heavy rain today then fog will be possible overnight but should quickly dissipate after the sun rises. 2. Winds will begin to slowly become more east-southeasterly between 12-2PM. As that happens the gradient wind will augment the seabreeze and that will quickly move it north of the spot location 3. Light isolated showers will be possible as early as this morning but the bulk of the rain today will likely be between 11/noon and 7/8 PM. $$ Forecaster...BANNAN Requested by...David Stoesz Type of request...PRESCRIBED .TAG 2614993.0/LIX .DELDT 06/05/26 .FormatterVersion 2.0.0 .EMAIL sami_gray@fws.gov,david_stoesz@fws.gov,matthew_johnson@fws.gov,hunter_edumundson@fws.gov,paul_reynolds@fws.gov
