This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.



.DAY ONE...Today and tonight



Scattered thunderstorms may develop again this afternoon into

evening, especially over south central to southern Iowa where

there is a Level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms. Isolated storms

are possible further north into Sunday morning.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday



Additional showers and thunderstorms are forecast on Sunday into

Monday with heavy rain and renewed flooding, especially in south

central to southern Iowa, the primary threat. Severe storms are 

unlikely.



There are continued thunderstorm chances at times through midweek.

The severe weather threat will continue to be evaluated.

to the National Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines 

for further details.



Scattered thunderstorms may develop again this afternoon into

evening with a Level 1 of 5 risk for severe storms. Gusty winds

and hail are the primary threats, but locally heavy rain and

renewed flooding remains possible with saturated soils from recent

rainfall. 



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday



Additional showers and thunderstorms are forecast on Sunday into

Monday with heavy rain and renewed flooding the primary threat.

Severe storms are unlikely.
