This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and

portions of north central Kansas.



.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.



There is a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms 

late this afternoon and into the evening. While exact placement 

and coverage of severe thunderstorms is not entirely clear at this

time, IF storms were to form, the primary hazards would be hail 

near the size of golf balls and damaging wind gusts near 65 MPH. 

An isolated tornado is also possible. Any thunderstorms that form 

will move east or southeast through the evening.



Thunderstorm chances continue into the overnight and any severe

threat should gradually transition to mainly a locally heavy rain

threat. The greatest risk for heavy rain from thunderstorms 

repeating over the same areas is currently favored to remain 

mostly northeast to southeast of the Tri-Cities, but this is

subject to change depending on how the afternoon and evening play

out.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.



Off and on thunderstorm chances continue across portions of the 

area Sunday through Tuesday.
