DISCUSSION...

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will continue through the 

evening with increasing shower and thunderstorm overnight 

especially south of Interstate 40. Severe weather is not

expected. Locally heavy rainfall is possible and flooding

concerns may develop.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

Widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms are expected

Saturday and Sunday. Heavy rainfall and flooding potential will

be the primary hazard. Isolated severe storms will also be

possible through the weekend, but widespread severe weather

is not expected. Thunderstorm chances decrease next week with

hot and humid weather developing. Afternoon heat index values

of 100 to 105 degrees are expected across much the region

for several days next week.
