Through midnight, scattered showers will continue to move to the 

south to southwest at near 10 knots across the eastern Straits of 

Florida, Florida Bay, the Upper Keys, and eastern Hawk Channel. 

Mariners encountering the stronger activity may observe wind gusts of

25 to 30 knots and reduced visibility in heavy downpours. Some 

island communities of the Upper Keys can expect to receive an 

additional half to one inch rainfall with locally higher amounts in 

excess of a 2.5 inches possible, especially from Tavernier to 

Plantation key.
