...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN EDDY AND WEST

CENTRAL LEA COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM MDT...



At 724 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Maljamar, or 20 miles west of Lovington, moving southeast at 5 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.

Maljamar.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
