At 524 PM EDT/424 PM CDT/, Doppler radar was tracking a strong

thunderstorm 9 miles southeast of Powers, or 19 miles southwest of

Escanaba, moving east at 15 mph.



HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.
