area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for

southwestern Iowa...and southeastern and east central Nebraska.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

FOR WESTERN SARPY...SOUTH CENTRAL WASHINGTON...SOUTHEASTERN DODGE...

DOUGLAS AND EASTERN SAUNDERS COUNTIES...



At 954 PM CDT, a 59 MPH wind gust was measured near 192nd and Y 

Street. At 1013 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a 

line extending from near Inglewood to 3 miles south of Arlington to 

near Flanagan Lake, moving north at 35 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of

western Sarpy, south central Washington, southeastern Dodge, Douglas

and eastern Saunders Counties, including the following locations...

Memphis, Memphis State Recreation Area, Two Rivers State Recreation

Area, Washington, and Schramm Park State Recreation Area.



This includes Interstate 80 in Nebraska between mile markers 428 and

448.

 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
